CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver

Sysco is seeking a full-time CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver to join our Sacramento distribution operation. In this role, you'll operate a commercial vehicle to deliver food products to restaurants, hotels, and catering businesses throughout the local area.

Role Overview

As a CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver at Sysco Sacramento, you'll be the face of our company to our customers. You'll transport and deliver a wide variety of food items safely and on schedule, handling the responsibility of a commercial delivery vehicle while maintaining the highest standards of customer service and safety.

Core Duties

• Operate a commercial vehicle to transport food products to customer locations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain equipment logs
• Load and unload delivery items, ensuring products are handled properly
• Navigate local routes efficiently and meet delivery schedules
• Collect customer signatures and process delivery documentation
• Communicate professionally with customers and resolve delivery issues
• Follow all federal and state commercial driving regulations
• Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle

Qualifications

• Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record
• Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles weighing over 26,000 lbs GVWR
• Medical certification and DOT compliance as required
• Physical capability to load and unload products regularly
• Professional communication and customer service skills
• Reliability and commitment to safe, on-time delivery
• Willingness to work full-time hours, which may include early mornings
