Sysco is hiring a Sales Consultant for our Charlotte location. This is a full-time position based on-site at our Sysco Charlotte facility, offering the opportunity to build lasting customer relationships while driving business growth in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

Position Summary

As a Sales Consultant at Sysco Charlotte, you'll be the strategic point of contact for a portfolio of foodservice and hospitality accounts across the Charlotte area. You'll combine consultative selling with deep product knowledge to understand customer needs, identify growth opportunities, and deliver solutions that strengthen their operations. This role blends client relationship management with field-based selling, requiring both communication skills and the drive to consistently exceed sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a strong customer base, conducting regular account visits and building trust with decision-makers in the foodservice, restaurant, and hospitality sectors
  • Assess customer requirements and recommend tailored product and service solutions that address operational challenges and improve margins
  • Pursue new business opportunities within assigned territory, using market knowledge and networking to identify and qualify leads
  • Prepare and present proposals, negotiate terms, and close sales within company guidelines and pricing frameworks
  • Collaborate with warehouse, logistics, and support teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction
  • Monitor account performance, manage inventory discussions with customers, and identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities

What We're Looking For

  • Proven sales experience, preferably in foodservice distribution, B2B sales, or account management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively
  • Self-motivated with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Willingness to work on-site in Charlotte and travel within the territory as needed
  • Proficiency with sales tools, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Customer-first mindset with problem-solving orientation and attention to detail
