Food & Beverage Manager

Wawa is hiring a Food & Beverage Manager to lead our team at Store 6144 in Morehead, NC 28557. This full-time position offers the opportunity to manage food operations, oversee staff performance, and ensure exceptional customer experiences in a fast-paced convenience and fuel retail environment.

The Opportunity

As a Food & Beverage Manager at our Morehead location, you'll play a critical role in driving the success of our food service operations. You'll be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction while leading a dedicated team. This position offers hands-on leadership experience in a dynamic retail environment where your decisions directly impact store performance and customer loyalty.

What You'll Do

• Oversee daily food preparation, service, and quality standards to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with health and safety regulations
• Manage food inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships to optimize freshness and control costs
• Train, schedule, and supervise food service team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
• Monitor food safety protocols, cleanliness standards, and equipment maintenance across all food preparation areas
• Analyze store profitability metrics related to food and beverage sales and implement strategies to increase revenue and reduce waste
• Handle customer concerns and complaints professionally to build loyalty and positive brand perception
• Collaborate with store leadership to develop and execute operational improvements and sales initiatives

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven management experience in food service, quick service restaurant, or retail food operations
• Demonstrated knowledge of food safety, health codes, and sanitation standards
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
• Excellent customer service orientation and communication abilities
• Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed for store operations
• Problem-solving mindset and comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment
• Food Safety Certification or willingness to obtain certification preferred
