About the Role

As an Environmental Service Worker, you play a critical role in infection prevention and facility operations within our acute care hospital. Your work directly impacts patient outcomes and staff safety by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and environmental hygiene throughout the facility. Working the 2nd shift schedule, you'll be part of a dedicated housekeeping team committed to creating safe, clean spaces where healing happens.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, and sanitize patient rooms, operating rooms, corridors, and common areas using hospital-approved protocols and equipment
• Remove and properly dispose of patient waste and biohazard materials in accordance with regulatory standards
• Restock supplies and maintain cleanliness of utility areas and supply closets
• Report maintenance concerns or equipment damage to supervisors immediately
• Respond promptly to spills, accidents, and urgent cleaning requests throughout the facility
• Collaborate with nursing and clinical staff to support operational needs during the 2nd shift

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to perform physical duties including lifting, pushing, and prolonged standing
• Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
• Reliability and professionalism in a healthcare environment
• Willingness to follow infection control procedures and use personal protective equipment correctly
