Registered Nurse, Med Surg/Tele Transplant Unit, Full-time Nights Lourdes Camden

Virtua seeks a Registered Nurse for the Medical-Surgical and Telemetry Transplant Unit at Lourdes Health System - 1600 Haddon Ave in Camden, New Jersey. This is a full-time night shift position caring for post-operative and transplant patients in an acute-care nursing environment.

Role Overview

As a Registered Nurse on our Med Surg/Tele Transplant Unit nights, you'll deliver direct patient care to individuals recovering from surgery and transplantation. You'll monitor cardiac telemetry, assess clinical changes, and coordinate with physicians and specialists to ensure optimal outcomes. Working independently through the night shift, you'll be a central figure in your patients' recovery and care progression.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide bedside nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients, including immediate post-operative and transplant populations
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, assess vital signs, and identify early warning signs of clinical decline
• Perform wound assessments, dressing changes, and post-operative wound management
• Administer medications, manage intravenous therapies, and maintain central and peripheral access devices
• Communicate patient status to the interdisciplinary team and maintain continuity of care across shifts
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about their recovery, medications, and self-care needs

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey
• Clinical nursing experience, preferably in medical-surgical or acute-care settings
• Knowledge of telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking abilities
• Ability to manage a patient assignment independently on night shift
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with interdisciplinary teams
• Commitment to safe, compassionate, patient-centered nursing care
