Position Summary

The Registered Nurse on the Med Surg/Tele Transplant Unit provides direct patient care to medically complex and post-transplant populations, combining critical thinking with hands-on nursing expertise. You'll monitor telemetry, assess patient status, coordinate with the care team, and support patients through pivotal moments in their treatment. Your role bridges compassionate bedside care with the clinical precision transplant and post-operative recovery demand.

What You'll Do

• Provide direct nursing care to post-operative and transplant patients, including assessment, monitoring, and intervention
• Monitor patients on telemetry and respond promptly to cardiac changes and clinical deterioration
• Administer medications and manage intravenous therapies per physician orders and nursing protocols
• Perform thorough patient assessments, document findings clearly, and communicate changes with the healthcare team
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care, medication management, and recovery milestones
• Maintain safe patient environments and ensure adherence to infection control and safety standards
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary staff to optimize patient outcomes

What You Bring

• Current, active RN license in New Jersey or eligible to obtain one
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or an Associate degree with relevant clinical experience
• Demonstrated experience in acute care nursing, preferably in surgical, telemetry, or critical care settings
• Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills with the ability to prioritize complex patient needs
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in a collaborative clinical environment
• Physical ability to perform patient care duties, including lifting, bending, and prolonged standing
• Commitment to patient-centered care and professional nursing practice standards
