DevOps Intern

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential defense technology organization in their search for a DevOps Intern to join their infrastructure team in Paris. This is a hands-on role for engineering students who want real ownership of production systems rather than ticket-based work.

Our client operates at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, bare metal systems, and edge computing. As an intern, you'll work across the full spectrum of their technical stack, building automation that engineers use daily and exploring how modern cloud technologies perform in non-traditional deployment environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain multi-platform infrastructure spanning cloud providers, bare metal servers, and edge devices
• Write infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Ansible, and Packer
• Provision and operate Kubernetes workloads across different environments
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines on GitHub Actions
• Improve build, packaging, and release workflows for engineering teams
• Work with product teams to implement sound architectural patterns for system, network, and security design
• Run proof-of-concept studies exploring deployment of cloud-native technologies onto tactical and embedded platforms
• Document technical decisions and share practices across the organization
• Automate repetitive operational tasks to enable engineer self-service

What We're Looking For

• Engineering student in Software, Networking, or Cybersecurity seeking a 6-month internship or 1-year apprenticeship
• Solid scripting skills, particularly in Python
• Good understanding of Docker and containerized environments
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub or GitLab
• Comfortable working with Linux systems
• Professional working English required
• French-speaking candidates preferred
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure, or Scaleway) is a plus
• Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible) is beneficial
• Kubernetes experience is a strong advantage

This is an on-site position in Paris. Our client values curiosity, rigour, and the willingness to deeply understand complex systems. You don't need to know their entire stack on day one, but you should be eager to learn.
