Client Data & Analytics Lead (f/m/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential energy technology organization seeking a Client Data & Analytics Lead to join their team in Paris, France. Our client is building advanced platforms that help energy companies optimize operations, manage customer experiences, and support the clean energy transition. This is a senior consulting role focused on helping enterprise clients transform their data capabilities and unlock strategic value from modern analytics infrastructure.

You will work directly with client organizations to guide their data transformation journeys, advise senior leadership on building high-performing analytics teams, and ensure successful adoption of new data systems and methodologies. This role combines hands-on technical work with strategic advisory, requiring someone who can both write SQL queries and influence C-level decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Guide client teams in redesigning critical reporting and analytics using modern data architectures through hands-on query writing, workshops, and training sessions
• Advise senior client leadership on developing high-performing data organizations, building modern technology stacks, and pursuing data strategies that drive core business objectives
• Strategically define and prioritize client data requirements to influence product roadmaps, ensuring solutions achieve desired business outcomes
• Partner with engineering teams to deliver new data features and capabilities aligned to specific client use cases
• Train broader delivery teams on helping business stakeholders ask effective data questions and leverage analytics to drive impact
• Support both directly and indirectly—sometimes writing queries to solve immediate data challenges, other times coaching clients and colleagues on best practices
• Ensure smooth reporting and analytics transitions for clients undergoing significant technology transformations

What We're Looking For

• University degree or equivalent qualification with strong client delivery and/or product ownership experience
• Several years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related field in roles such as analytics manager, lead data analyst, or analytics consultant
• Strong familiarity with modern data practices, tools, and architectural patterns
• Proficiency with SQL and contemporary business intelligence platforms
• Experience with agile product development practices and collaboration with engineering teams
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills suitable for engaging with senior executives
• Strong influencing abilities and comfort challenging traditional approaches to data and analytics
• Patience and understanding when working with clients undergoing major organizational transformations
• Experience in the energy sector is advantageous but not required
• Must have existing authorization to work in France; visa sponsorship is not available for this position
