DevOps Architect (Azure)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential technology organization seeking a DevOps Architect (Azure) to join their team in Pakistan. Our client is looking for an experienced infrastructure leader who can drive cloud operations, security, and automation initiatives while mentoring their growing engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead urgent infrastructure issues and projects, ensuring clear communication and appropriate resource allocation
• Ensure adherence to service level agreements and maintain system reliability standards
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and tooling
• Collaborate with development teams to design and deploy CI/CD infrastructure
• Develop and implement environments for quality assurance, development, staging, and production
• Deploy and support applications on cloud platforms with focus on Azure
• Own infrastructure security, ensuring all environments are secure, reliable, scalable, and automated
• Provide direct server support during deployments and production operations
• Design, implement, and test infrastructure solutions that meet requirements and conform to best practices
• Automate deployment of applications, system configurations, and security settings
• Evaluate technical candidates for open DevOps positions

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or site reliability engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure cloud platform
• Proficiency with automation and deployment tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, or similar technologies
• Experience with both RDBMS and NoSQL databases including MySQL, MSSQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, and Redis
• Working knowledge of Windows Server environments, VMWare, IIS, and related Microsoft technologies
• Advanced scripting capabilities in Python, Ruby, Bash, or PowerShell
• Strong experience with Linux distributions (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, Amazon Linux)
• Proven track record working embedded with development teams to optimize and automate workflows
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Flexible, collaborative approach with strong stakeholder management abilities
