About the Role

This Part Time position offers flexible shifts working in the bar and waiting area of one of the UK's largest pub companies. You'll be part of a welcoming team that prides itself on delivering warm hospitality and genuine guest connections. Working in our Wigan venue, you'll contribute to a busy, lively atmosphere where every shift brings opportunities to refine your service skills and build lasting relationships with regulars and visitors alike.

What You'll Do

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and seat them at tables or the bar with genuine hospitality
• Take drink and food orders with accuracy and confidence
• Prepare and pour drinks to Greene King standards, ensuring quality and consistency
• Process payments promptly and professionally at the till or card reader
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the bar, tables, and dining areas during your shift
• Respond to customer queries and concerns with courtesy and problem-solving mindset
• Support colleagues during peak periods to ensure smooth service for all guests
• Follow health, safety, and licensing regulations at all times

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for hospitality and delivering customer service
• Ability to work confidently and efficiently under pressure
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanour
• Reliability and punctuality in a Part Time role
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required for the hospitality trade
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
• Previous bar or waiting experience is valued; full training provided for the right candidate
