About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential technology client seeking a skilled Back-End Developer to join their growing engineering team. This is a fully remote position where you'll design, develop, and maintain scalable server-side applications, APIs, and databases that power high-performance web applications.
You'll collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other engineers to build secure, reliable, and efficient solutions while following software development best practices. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable server-side applications and APIs
- Build and optimize database architectures for performance and reliability
- Integrate third-party services and RESTful APIs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions
- Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices
- Optimize API performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Participate in code reviews and follow Agile development methodologies
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Back-End Developer, Software Engineer, or similar role
- Strong proficiency in one or more back-end programming languages such as Node.js, Python, Java, C#, PHP, Go, or Ruby
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs
- Strong knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, SQL Server, or similar)
- Experience with Git, GitHub, and Agile methodologies
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Understanding of security best practices and API optimization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, or other DevOps tools is a plus
