Advanced Software Engineer – Customer Success

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking an Advanced Software Engineer - Customer Success to join their team in Brazil. Our client delivers enterprise-scale solutions for financial crime prevention and fraud detection, protecting billions of transactions annually for major financial institutions worldwide.

This role combines strong software engineering capabilities with customer-facing implementation expertise. You'll serve as a technical advisor to enterprise clients, designing and implementing solutions, optimizing performance, and ensuring successful deployments throughout the customer lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement technical solutions that maximize platform value for enterprise customers
• Configure, customize, and extend customer solutions using Java, SQL, and platform-specific tools
• Build and maintain integrations using REST APIs, messaging systems, event-driven architectures, and file processing
• Troubleshoot complex production issues across application, database, infrastructure, and integration layers
• Analyze and optimize application performance, scalability, and operational reliability
• Lead technical activities during implementations, upgrades, migrations, and production go-lives
• Support enterprise customers throughout implementation and post-production phases
• Review solution designs to ensure alignment with best practices and architecture standards
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to reusable implementation assets and documentation
• Collaborate with product engineering teams, providing feedback from real customer implementations

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong Java development skills with ability to understand, customize, and debug complex applications
• Strong SQL knowledge and database troubleshooting experience
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise software integrations
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, messaging platforms, asynchronous systems, and file-based integrations
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills in production environments
• Experience analyzing Java application performance (thread dumps, heap analysis, JVM tuning)
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, software architecture, scalability, and performance
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with customer engineering teams
• Ability to balance hands-on technical work with customer-facing responsibilities

Nice to have:

• Experience in fraud prevention, financial services, or risk management platforms
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications
• Experience with PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases
