Vfc is seeking a full-time Lightning Protection Installer to join our team in Pine Hills, Orange County. If you're a hands-on professional who takes pride in protecting properties from nature's most powerful forces, we want to hear from you.
About the Role
As a Lightning Protection Installer with Vfc, you'll perform skilled installation and maintenance of lightning protection systems on residential, commercial, and industrial properties throughout the Orlando region. This is hands-on technical work that directly safeguards buildings and their occupants from lightning strike damage and electrical hazards.
What You'll Do
- Install lightning rods, grounding systems, and surge protection equipment on buildings and structures
- Perform system testing and safety inspections to verify proper protection installation
- Read and interpret technical specifications and building plans
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in job-ready condition
- Communicate with clients about system functionality and maintenance requirements
- Work at heights and in varying weather conditions
- Document completed installations and maintain accurate service records
What We're Looking For
- Experience or demonstrated ability in electrical work, roofing, or similar construction trades
- Comfort and safety awareness when working at heights on ladders and rooftops
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the Orlando service area
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow technical specifications and safety protocols
- Reliable transportation and strong professional work ethic
- Willingness to master specialized lightning protection installation techniques
