Child Welfare Family Support Specialist

Children's Friend is seeking a Child Welfare Family Support Specialist to join our team in Providence, Rhode Island. In this full-time role, you'll make a direct impact by supporting families and connecting them with the resources and guidance they need to thrive.

About the Role

As a Child Welfare Family Support Specialist at Children's Friend, you're the bridge between families in Providence and Providence County and the support systems that strengthen their lives. Working with our Healthy Family America program, you'll engage directly with families, understand their unique circumstances, and champion the resources and relationships that foster stability and well-being for children and their caregivers.

What You'll Do

• Build trusted relationships with families in the Providence area
• Assess family needs and circumstances to guide personalized support
• Connect families to community resources, services, and social networks
• Develop and implement family-centered support plans
• Maintain detailed records and communicate progress within our team
• Work collaboratively with your supervisor and colleagues to achieve program goals
