Wasteconnections is seeking an experienced CDL Truck Driver to join our team in Waxahachie, delivering essential waste management and recycling services across our service area. This is a full-time opportunity to contribute to a company committed to sustainability and community service.
Position Summary
As a CDL Truck Driver with Wasteconnections, you'll operate commercial vehicles to transport and manage waste materials safely and efficiently. You'll be the face of our company to customers throughout Waxahachie and surrounding communities, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, safety, and service quality on every route.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain a commercial waste collection or transport vehicle according to Department of Transportation regulations
- Execute daily collection routes with accuracy and efficiency, serving residential and commercial clients
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting mechanical issues promptly
- Practice safe driving habits and maintain a clean safety record in compliance with company policies
- Handle waste materials according to environmental and safety protocols
- Interact professionally with customers and address service inquiries or concerns
- Track mileage, hours, and deliveries; complete required documentation accurately
Requirements
- Valid CDL (Class A or B, depending on vehicle assignment) with a clean driving record
- Two or more years of CDL driving experience preferred
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials repeatedly throughout the workday
- Reliable transportation to and from work and consistent attendance
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset
- Compliance with pre-employment screening and background check requirements
