Registered Nurse (RN), Circulating, Procedure Center (Full Time, Days – 8hrs)

Join RCH's surgical team as a Registered Nurse in a circulating capacity at our Main Campus location in Orange. This full-time position offers day shifts within a procedure center setting where you'll play a vital role in supporting surgical operations and patient safety.

About This Position

As a Circulating Registered Nurse at RCH, you'll be the operational hub of the procedure center. You'll coordinate surgical teams, manage patient flow, ensure compliance with safety protocols, and maintain the efficiency of the operating environment. Your clinical judgment and leadership will directly impact patient outcomes and team performance in this dynamic healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the procedure center environment, ensuring all equipment and instruments are ready for each case
• Assess and prepare patients for surgical procedures, including verifying pre-operative requirements and patient identification
• Serve as a communication liaison between surgical teams, anesthesia, and support staff throughout procedures
• Monitor patient safety and comfort during operations, alerting the surgical team to any concerns
• Maintain accurate documentation of case details, supplies used, and patient information
• Manage inventory and restocking of surgical supplies to maintain procedural readiness
• Support post-operative patient care and handoff to recovery areas
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to maintain a sterile environment

Skills & Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Prior experience in a perioperative or procedure center setting preferred
• Strong understanding of surgical instruments, equipment, and aseptic technique
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-volume environment
• Collaborative mindset with strong teamwork orientation
• Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety and quality outcomes
