Donor Engagement Manager

Join Louisiana Bucket Brigade as a Donor Engagement Manager in New Orleans, Louisiana. This is a full-time position based in Orleans Parish with an environmental health and justice organization committed to holding the petrochemical industry accountable through community-centered action.

About the Role

Louisiana Bucket Brigade is seeking a Donor Engagement Manager to lead our fundraising initiatives and build lasting relationships with individual donors, foundations, and institutional partners. You will serve as a key connector between our mission and our supporters, developing strategies to expand funding for our community-centered advocacy work.

What You'll Do

• Cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with major donors and foundation partners
• Develop and implement donor retention and upgrade strategies to expand our funding base
• Create compelling appeal communications, proposals, and donor reports that reflect our environmental justice mission
• Manage donor interactions, track giving history, and maintain accurate records in our development database
• Identify and prospect new funding opportunities aligned with our organizational priorities
• Organize donor appreciation events and recognition activities that strengthen community engagement
• Collaborate with program staff to gather impact stories and outcomes that resonate with funders
• Support board and volunteer fundraising efforts through training and materials

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor relations, or development (3+ years preferred)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft persuasive, mission-driven messages
• Strong organizational and project management abilities, with attention to detail
• Proficiency with donor databases and CRM systems
• Demonstrated commitment to environmental justice, community organizing, or social equity work
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a lean, mission-driven team
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
