Role Overview

PWC's Data and Analytics Advisory practice seeks a Snowflake Senior Data Engineer to lead the design and implementation of cloud-based data platforms. You'll architect scalable data warehouse solutions, mentor junior engineers, and partner with clients to translate complex business requirements into robust technical implementations that deliver measurable value.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise data warehouse solutions using Snowflake, optimising for performance, cost, and scalability
• Build and maintain complex ETL and ELT pipelines that integrate data from multiple sources
• Establish data governance standards and ensure quality and security across all analytics implementations
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data engineers and team members
• Optimise existing data infrastructure for improved query performance and system efficiency
• Support clients through data architecture reviews, best practices workshops, and troubleshooting complex data challenges

What You Bring

• Extensive hands-on experience with Snowflake, including warehouse design, performance tuning, and best practices
• Strong proficiency in SQL and data manipulation across large datasets
• Solid understanding of data engineering principles, data modelling, and cloud infrastructure
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools and frameworks in modern data ecosystems
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage ambiguity in client-facing advisory settings
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Relevant certifications such as Snowflake are advantageous
