RSM is seeking a Tax Senior Associate 1 specialising in International Tax to join our Bengaluru office on a full-time basis. In this role, you'll advise multinational clients and Indian businesses on complex cross-border tax matters, contributing to RSM's reputation as a leading professional services firm in the region.
What This Role Involves
As a Tax Senior Associate 1 focused on International Tax, you'll take on meaningful responsibility for client engagements spanning transfer pricing, international compliance, and cross-jurisdictional tax planning. You'll work alongside experienced tax professionals and partners to deliver strategic advice on behalf of multinational enterprises and domestic companies navigating the complexities of global tax obligations.
What You'll Do
- Conduct transfer pricing analyses and prepare documentation in compliance with Indian and OECD guidelines
- Assist with international tax compliance filings and regulatory submissions across multiple jurisdictions
- Perform research and analysis on evolving cross-border tax regulations, treaties, and provisions affecting client operations
- Participate in tax planning engagements, identifying optimisation opportunities within a compliant framework
- Prepare technical memoranda, reports, and recommendations for client review and board consideration
- Support engagement teams in scoping, budgeting, and delivery of tax services to multinational clients
- Stay current with India's international tax framework, including regulations on indirect transfer taxation and foreign withholding obligations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accountancy, or a related discipline; qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, or equivalent professional qualification strongly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of Indian tax law and exposure to international tax concepts (transfer pricing, treaty provisions, or foreign tax credit mechanisms)
- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to distil complex tax issues into clear recommendations
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities; proficiency in English is essential
- Attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities in a client-focused environment
- Competency with MS Office suite and tax software tools; willingness to learn RSM's platforms and methodologies
