Role Overview
As a Currency Trader or Associate Trader at Russell, you'll operate in the dynamic world of foreign exchange markets. This role is designed for someone with strong analytical capabilities and solid trading instincts. You'll be responsible for executing trades, monitoring currency positions, and contributing to the firm's FX trading strategy across varying market conditions.
Your Responsibilities
- Execute currency trades and manage FX positions in accordance with firm strategy and risk parameters
- Monitor global currency markets and economic indicators to identify trading opportunities
- Analyze market data and conduct research to inform trading decisions
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal trading policies
- Collaborate with portfolio managers, risk officers, and fellow traders to support portfolio objectives
- Track and report on trading activity, including profit and loss, risk metrics, and market exposure
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Knowledge of foreign exchange markets and currency trading fundamentals
- Proficiency with trading platforms, market data systems, and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-moving environment
- Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards
