About the Role
As a weekend Hospice RN with Henry Ford Health System, you will provide skilled nursing care to hospice home health care patients during regularly scheduled weekend shifts in Dearborn, Wayne County. The position follows a consistent weekend rotation, with shifts falling between Saturday at 8:00 a.m. and Sunday at 10:00 p.m., aligning your care with the principles of the hospice concept.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to hospice patients in keeping with the hospice model of comfort-focused, holistic support.
- Work scheduled weekend shifts between Saturday 8:00 a.m. and Sunday 10:00 p.m.
- Fulfill the standard weekend commitment of 20 out of 24 weekend shifts across a 12-week schedule, for a minimum of 10 weeks as combined CTO allows.
- Coordinate with the interdisciplinary hospice team to address patients' physical, emotional, and comfort needs.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
- Availability and willingness to maintain the recurring weekend schedule described above.
- Commitment to the values and care standards of hospice and home health nursing.
- Strong clinical judgment, compassion, and communication skills suited to end-of-life care.
