Red Team Software Developer

Parsons Corporation seeks a Red Team Software Developer for our Fort Belvoir, Fairfax County office. In this full-time position, you'll design and build offensive security tools and frameworks that test and strengthen defensive capabilities through rigorous adversarial testing.

What You'll Do

• Develop, test, and maintain custom offensive security tools and exploit frameworks
• Write efficient, maintainable code across multiple programming languages
• Design proof-of-concept demonstrations that validate attack vectors and security concepts
• Collaborate with security researchers and defensive teams to identify and address vulnerabilities
• Document technical findings and methodologies for knowledge sharing across the organization
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development practices
• Stay informed of emerging security threats, attack methodologies, and defensive technologies

What We're Looking For

• Professional experience in software development with proficiency in one or more languages such as Python, C, C++, Go, or Rust
• Understanding of software engineering principles and secure coding practices
• Knowledge of computer security fundamentals, operating systems, and network protocols
• Experience with version control systems and collaborative development workflows
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
