About the Role

The Internal Investigations function is essential to PwC's Risk & Quality operations. As Senior Manager, you'll oversee complex investigations into potential compliance violations, misconduct, and operational risks. This position combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership—directing investigation teams, establishing protocols, and delivering actionable findings to firm leadership. You'll travel up to 20% of the time to meet with clients and stakeholders.

What You'll Do

  • Plan, direct, and oversee internal investigations into compliance matters, employee conduct, and regulatory concerns
  • Develop investigation strategies, manage evidence collection, and ensure adherence to legal and regulatory standards
  • Build and lead investigation teams, mentoring junior staff and fostering a culture of rigor and objectivity
  • Prepare detailed investigation reports with clear findings, analysis, and recommendations for firm leadership
  • Advise senior management and the firm's Risk & Quality leadership on emerging compliance risks and mitigation strategies
  • Maintain confidentiality, documentation, and audit trails in accordance with applicable regulations and firm policies
  • Collaborate with legal counsel, compliance, and external regulators as needed

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of experience in internal investigations, compliance, risk management, or related fields—ideally within a large professional services firm
  • Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive investigations with confidentiality, objectivity, and sound judgment
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, employment law, and investigation best practices
  • Proven leadership skills with experience building and developing teams
  • Advanced communication and analytical abilities; comfort presenting findings to executive audiences
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFE, CCEP) is preferred
