As a Nutrition Assistant, you'll work alongside our nutrition and dietetics team to provide direct patient support and help deliver comprehensive nutritional services. What You'll Do
- Assist registered dietitians and nutritionists with patient assessments and dietary consultations
- Help develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans
- Educate patients on healthy eating habits and nutrition principles
- Prepare and distribute nutritional educational materials and resources
- Document patient information and progress in medical records
- Support patients with meal planning and dietary modifications
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
- Respond to patient questions and provide encouragement throughout their nutritional journey
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Genuine desire to help patients achieve better health
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with healthcare regulations
- Previous healthcare or nutrition experience is a plus
