Manufacturing Officer

Role Overview

As a Manufacturing Officer at Wabtec, you will play a key role in optimising our production processes and ensuring operational efficiency across our Bengaluru facility. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance manufacturing practices, improve quality outcomes, and support the delivery of our innovative solutions to customers worldwide.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Oversee production planning and scheduling to meet capacity and delivery targets
• Monitor manufacturing processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives
• Coordinate with quality assurance teams to maintain product standards and compliance
• Analyse operational metrics and identify opportunities for efficiency gains
• Support workforce planning and training programmes to develop team capability
• Liaise with supply chain and procurement functions to optimise resource allocation
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental standards

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related discipline
• 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing operations or industrial production
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail
• Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional, team-based environments
• Familiarity with manufacturing systems, quality frameworks, and lean principles
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and manufacturing software systems
