Maximo Senior Solution Architect

Niyam IT is hiring a full-time Maximo Senior Solution Architect to lead the design, architecture, and optimization of enterprise asset management systems for a federal client across the United States. In this role, you'll serve as the technical authority for IBM Maximo Asset Management and Maximo Application Suite (MAS) solutions, guiding system integration, governance, and performance optimization across the organization.

About the Role

This Maximo Senior Solution Architect position is central to our technical strategy. You'll own the architectural direction of our enterprise asset management infrastructure, working alongside business stakeholders, infrastructure teams, and development personnel to design and deploy scalable, secure solutions that enable organizational transformation. Your technical leadership will shape technology selection, modernization strategies, and system performance optimization to keep our Maximo solutions at peak efficiency and aligned with long-term business objectives.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of IBM Maximo Asset Management (7.6.x) and Maximo Application Suite solutions across multiple production environments
  • Develop enterprise solution architectures that translate business requirements into robust technical designs aligned with industry best practices
  • Establish technical standards, architectural frameworks, and governance methodologies for all Maximo initiatives
  • Advise on Maximo modernization, system migrations, and digital transformation strategies
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and architectural approaches to enhance system performance and capability
  • Design enterprise data models supporting asset management, maintenance, inventory, and procurement operations
  • Build and enforce data governance standards and master data management practices across Maximo and related enterprise systems
  • Direct large-scale data migration, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation efforts during implementations and system upgrades
  • Architect highly available, secure Maximo environments capable of supporting enterprise-wide workloads
  • Lead integration strategies and implementations connecting Maximo with financial systems and other critical applications
  • Develop technical roadmaps supporting scalability, modernization, and organizational growth
  • Mentor and guide administrators, developers, and support teams; conduct architecture reviews and design workshops
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, system diagrams, and architectural standards

What We're Looking For

  • US Citizenship with ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience implementing and supporting IBM Maximo Asset Management and/or Maximo Application Suite
  • 5+ years in enterprise solution architecture, data architecture, or systems engineering roles
  • Demonstrated expertise designing enterprise-scale EAM solutions
  • Advanced knowledge of Maximo architecture, configuration, integrations, security, and performance tuning
  • Deep understanding of Enterprise Asset Management processes, CMMS workflows, and asset lifecycle management
  • Proven leadership through large-scale system implementations, upgrades, migrations, and modernization projects
  • Strong SQL and relational database design skills; experience with enterprise data management practices
  • Exceptional analytical, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities
  • Preferred: Federal contract experience; IBM Maximo certifications; Red Hat OpenShift expertise; IBM WebSphere and Linux knowledge; DevOps and CI/CD pipeline experience; Atlassian Jira or Confluence proficiency
