About the Role

RELX is seeking an experienced capital markets lawyer to build and maintain a comprehensive online content library for Canadian legal professionals. You'll leverage your subject matter expertise to create materials that professionals rely on to navigate M&A transactions, securities work, and public capital markets matters. This role combines legal knowledge with content strategy, allowing you to shape how practitioners learn and execute their work—without the traditional practice pressures. You'll work within an innovative legal technology environment supported by RELX's commitment to responsible AI deployment and advanced legal solutions.

What You'll Do

• Author, review, and refine practice guides, checklists, flowcharts, templates, and procedural materials
• Maintain accuracy and relevance of all content to reflect current law and market practice
• Track regulatory changes, case law developments, and emerging trends in capital markets and M&A
• Assess competitive offerings and identify gaps in the product portfolio
• Build and sustain relationships with legal practitioners and firms across Canada
• Contribute to content and product strategy recommendations
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver content on schedule and to specification
• Support go-to-market activities through product walkthroughs, training sessions, and practitioner engagement

Who We're Looking For

• J.D. or LL.B. with active, good-standing membership in the bar of any Canadian province or territory
• Minimum 3 years of legal practice in capital markets, securities law, or public M&A transactions
• Substantive expertise and credibility in capital markets and public M&A practice and workflow
• Established professional network among capital markets and M&A practitioners
• Proven ability to write clearly, concisely, and with legal precision
• Track record drafting or editing client materials, legal articles, continuing legal education content, or similar legal publications
• Strong interpersonal and presentation capabilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Highly self-directed, attentive to detail, and methodical in approach
• Hands-on experience with AI and large language model tools in professional contexts, including assessing and refining their outputs
• Fluency in French is a valued asset
