Senior Product Designer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization based in Berlin that is transforming how consumers understand and manage their financial health. Our talent team is seeking a Senior Product Designer to own design end-to-end for a defined product area, working across mobile and web platforms.

This is a hands-on, high-autonomy role where you'll turn complex financial information into simple, trustworthy experiences. You'll conduct user research directly with German-speaking users, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and contribute to design systems while helping shape AI-powered customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead product design for a defined area across mobile and web platforms
• Transform complex financial and credit-related information into clear, useful experiences
• Plan and conduct customer research, interviews, and usability testing with German-speaking users
• Translate qualitative research and behavioral data into actionable product decisions
• Create user flows, interaction models, prototypes, and polished product experiences in Figma
• Partner with Engineering to ensure solutions are feasible, scalable, and implemented with high quality
• Collaborate with Product and Data teams to define success metrics and evaluate impact
• Contribute to and improve reusable patterns and design systems
• Use AI tools to accelerate research, exploration, prototyping, and documentation
• Help shape AI-powered experiences while maintaining trust, clarity, and user control
• Mentor team members through thoughtful feedback and knowledge sharing

What We're Looking For

• 6–8 years of product design experience, ideally with digital consumer products
• Strong experience designing end-to-end product experiences across mobile and web
• Advanced skills in Figma, interaction design, and prototyping
• Hands-on user research experience—planning and conducting studies yourself, not just consuming insights
• Ability to simplify complex, data-heavy, or sensitive topics into clear customer experiences
• Strong product thinking with ability to connect design decisions to customer and business outcomes
• Experience working in cross-functional teams with Product, Engineering, and Data
• Confidence working independently and taking ownership from ambiguity through delivery
• German language proficiency at C1 level or above, including ability to conduct customer interviews and usability studies
• Practical experience using AI tools in your design workflow for exploration, synthesis, prototyping, or documentation
• Collaborative, kind, and constructive working style
• Experience in fintech, banking, financial services, or regulated/data-intensive environments is a strong plus
