Business Director

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential global marketing production organization in their search for a Business Director based in London. This is a hybrid role requiring approximately four days per week in the office.

Our client is a unified production company that combines world-class creative craft with next-generation technology to deliver multi-channel content at scale. They work with leading global brands and operate across studios, technology platforms, and expert craft teams.

Responsibilities

As Business Director, you will drive client business growth and strengthen strategic relationships:

• Support revenue growth across new business initiatives and organic expansion
• Build and maintain senior client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on production strategy and capabilities
• Identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities to extend service offerings to existing clients
• Play a key role in new business pitches, crafting compelling presentations and strategic narratives
• Partner with commercial and operations teams to develop client business development plans and contact strategies
• Manage day-to-day client engagement and relationship health, monitoring satisfaction metrics
• Provide strategic insights to clients on a monthly and quarterly basis
• Drive account governance including quarterly and annual business reviews
• Manage P&L responsibilities, budgets, forecasting, and contribution margins for your account portfolio
• Partner with delivery teams to ensure flawless execution and navigate conflicting priorities
• Collaborate across creative, production, operations, technology, and finance departments
• Lead and inspire cross-functional teams regardless of reporting lines
• Contribute to organizational culture through ownership, professionalism, and passion

What We're Looking For

Required Experience and Skills:

• Proven experience in client services within marketing, integrated campaigns, digital agency, or consultancy environments
• Demonstrated ability to grow revenue through strategic growth, organic expansion, and new business development
• Strong business and financial acumen with knowledge of profit levers and financial management
• Expert client relationship skills in multi-stakeholder, matrix reporting environments
• Experience improving or turning around client satisfaction scores
• Ability to build partnerships across disciplines, networks, and teams
• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to create clear, cohesive strategic presentations and compelling storytelling
• Experience coaching and developing senior and mid-level team members
• Strong grasp of the marketing technology landscape, specifically GenAI, agentic workflows, and emerging production technologies
• Proven consultative skills with a proactive, strategic approach to client engagement
• Authentic passion for great work, teams, and business outcomes
• Curiosity and commitment to continual learning
• Interest in sustainability and driving sustainable practices in production
