IT Administration & Automation Manager (all genders)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI technology company based in Munich that is redefining how IT operations should work. This isn't a traditional IT admin role—our client is looking for an automation-focused systems leader who builds internal tools, replaces manual processes with intelligent workflows, and creates scalable infrastructure for rapid growth.

As their IT Administration & Automation Manager, you'll architect an automation-first IT environment that serves as a force multiplier for the entire organization.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated workflows for onboarding, offboarding, access management, and device provisioning across the technology stack
• Build custom internal tools using low-code platforms, scripting, or AI-assisted development to replace or enhance existing SaaS solutions
• Integrate and orchestrate multiple systems into a unified, automated environment
• Establish and maintain role-based and group-based access control structures with continuous optimization
• Support IT security initiatives including firewall configuration, device policy enforcement, and security best practices implementation
• Create comprehensive documentation and develop scalable IT processes that support organizational growth

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in IT administration, systems engineering, or IT operations within a startup or SaaS environment
• Automation-first mindset with a preference for building systematic solutions over manual execution
• Ability to write scripts or build internal tools using Python, APIs, low-code platforms, or AI-assisted coding methods
• Strong understanding of identity and access management, SaaS ecosystems, and modern cloud environments
• Knowledge of security fundamentals and structured permission concepts
• Independent, pragmatic, and solution-oriented working style
• Located in or willing to relocate to Munich, Germany
