People Operations Manager

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential licensed financial institution operating across multiple jurisdictions. This organization is building modern infrastructure at the intersection of traditional banking and emerging financial technologies. We are seeking a People Operations Manager to own and scale HR systems and processes across a growing, multi-country operation.

This role is based in Malaysia with travel requirements to international offices. You will have end-to-end ownership of people operations infrastructure, building scalable processes that support expansion across entities and geographies.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day people operations across the complete employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee changes, documentation, leave administration, benefits, and offboarding across multiple entities
• Manage and continuously improve the organization's HRIS and people technology stack, ensuring accurate employee data, process automation, and multi-entity support
• Coordinate payroll and benefits administration across jurisdictions, partnering with Finance, external payroll providers, and local partners for accurate and timely processing
• Continuously identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve people processes while maintaining appropriate controls and documentation
• Coordinate entity-level corporate administration and liaise with corporate secretarial providers to maintain accurate corporate records, support required filings and governance processes, and provide entity documentation internally as needed
• Partner closely with leadership and managers to create consistent, high-quality employee experiences across the organization

What We're Looking For

• 6–10 years of experience in People Operations, HR Operations, or generalist HR roles with meaningful hands-on ownership of core HR processes
• Demonstrated experience building or significantly improving HR processes and systems, ideally within a startup, scale-up, fintech, financial services, or similarly fast-moving organization
• Experience supporting a multi-country and multi-entity workforce with understanding of operational complexities across different jurisdictions
• Strong experience with HRIS platforms, payroll administration, employee data management, and HR process automation
• Experience managing onboarding, offboarding, employment documentation, policies, and employee relations
• Comfortable working independently with high degree of ownership, including identifying gaps and implementing solutions in environments without highly developed existing processes
• Highly hands-on approach and comfort operating in fast-growing environments
• Ability to build scalable processes rather than simply administer existing ones
