Technical Product Research Intern in Agentic Payments / Stablecoins / Web3

Responsibilities

We are representing a regulated fintech client building compliant payment infrastructure for AI agents and data providers. As a Technical Product Research Intern, you will sit at the intersection of code and market intelligence, working directly with the founding team to shape product strategy in a fast-moving space.

Your day-to-day work includes:

• Mapping the agentic payments landscape: identifying key players, protocols (x402, MCP, and others), and market gaps
• Researching and evaluating potential data provider partners across verticals including weather, finance, geolocation, and pricing APIs
• Building product matrices that compare pricing models, API quality, MCP readiness, and agent compatibility
• Developing small proof-of-concepts and testing integrations with MCP servers and data provider endpoints
• Analyzing competitor products, pricing models, and regulatory positioning in the fintech space
• Researching how LLM platforms integrate external data sources and payment layers
• Synthesizing findings into clear, actionable internal memos and pitch materials
• Proactively flagging opportunities, risks, and potential partners

What We're Looking For

Our client needs someone who can code and research in equal measure. The ideal candidate is:

• Currently studying computer science, fintech, business informatics, or a related field — or recently graduated
• Comfortable writing code and working with APIs, HTTP requests, and basic scripting in Python, TypeScript, or similar languages
• Genuinely curious about AI agents, crypto payments, and fintech regulation
• Proactive by default: you see something interesting, you dig in and share findings before being asked
• Strong in English communication, both written and verbal
• Based in Berlin or willing to relocate
• Bonus: experience with blockchain/stablecoins, MCP, or fintech regulation

This role is available as a Werkstudent position (15–20 hours per week) or a full-time Praktikum (3–6 months).

Pay

Compensation details will be discussed during the screening process based on the internship structure (Werkstudent vs. Praktikum) and your experience level.
