About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential holding organization in Siegburg that provides centralized finance and administration services for multiple companies within its group. Our talent team is seeking an experienced Payroll Accountant (m/f/d) to independently manage payroll processing across several entities within the group.

This is not a transactional role. Our client needs someone who understands payroll deeply, can identify irregularities, find solutions independently, and take full ownership of reliable wage and salary processing across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Process monthly payroll independently for multiple companies within the group
• Support diverse employee groups across different entities
• Maintain and audit all payroll-relevant master data
• Process employee onboarding and offboarding documentation
• Review working hours, absences, vacation, and other payroll-relevant data
• Prepare reports, certificates, and statutory notifications
• Communicate with health insurance providers, tax authorities, and social security agencies
• Support employees with payroll-related questions
• Prepare for and support wage tax and social security audits
• Coordinate with financial accounting, HR stakeholders, and executive management
• Reconcile personnel and payroll costs across multiple entities
• Maintain and improve digital payroll processes

What We're Looking For

• Completed commercial, tax specialist, or comparable vocational training
• Several years of practical experience in payroll accounting
• Strong to excellent knowledge of DATEV Lohn und Gehalt (required)
• Comprehensive knowledge of German wage tax and social security law
• Experience with notifications and certification processes
• Confident handling of digital work processes
• Independent, structured, and reliable working style
• High sense of responsibility and discretion
• Experience managing payroll for multiple entities is advantageous
• Professional proficiency in German required
