Customer Support – UK

Responsibilities

Our client, a confidential UK-based organization, is seeking a Customer Support Specialist to deliver exceptional client experiences across multiple communication platforms. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role based remotely in South Africa.

In this position, you will:

• Provide professional support via Zendesk, WhatsApp, SMS, email, social media messaging, and virtual calls
• Respond to customer enquiries promptly, professionally, and accurately
• Take full ownership of customer queries and follow them through to complete resolution
• Handle complaints calmly while maintaining a positive customer experience
• Identify customer needs and deliver clear, practical solutions
• Escalate complex queries appropriately when required
• Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and follow-ups
• Learn and apply internal support processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures
• Collaborate with the wider team to ensure consistency across all customer communication
• Identify recurring issues and provide constructive feedback to improve the overall client experience

What We're Looking For

Essential requirements:

• Completed university degree (essential requirement)
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional, confident demeanor when communicating directly with customers
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
• High level of attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to remain calm and structured during challenging customer conversations
• Comfortable communicating across multiple digital channels
• Tech-savvy with the ability to learn new platforms and systems quickly
• Reliable, proactive, and able to take ownership of outcomes
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment
• Available to work Tuesday through Saturday on an ongoing basis

Our client is specifically open to candidates with strong academic backgrounds who demonstrate excellent communication skills, professionalism, and the capacity to learn quickly. Previous customer service experience is not essential.
