Senior Applied Value Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a leading enterprise software organization in their search for a Senior Applied Value Engineer based in Munich. Our client operates at the intersection of AI and enterprise operations, helping global organizations unlock transformational value through intelligent process solutions.

This is a strategic technical role working with the most important customer accounts. You will discover business-critical challenges, architect cutting-edge AI solutions, prototype innovative approaches, and drive adoption through to measurable value realization. Your work will directly influence how enterprise clients deploy AI at scale.

Native-level German proficiency (C1/C2) is essential. You must confidently lead customer workshops, present to executives, and manage stakeholder relationships in German.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery with strategic enterprise accounts to architect bespoke AI solutions addressing complex operational challenges
• Design and prototype advanced AI systems including LLM/agent architectures with RAG capabilities, integrated with enterprise data and compliance frameworks
• Execute high-stakes Proof-of-Value projects from discovery through successful implementation and adoption
• Act as trusted advisor to C-suite executives, translating technical capabilities into business impact and ROI
• Develop industry-specific solutions leveraging deep domain expertise in areas like supply chain or finance operations
• Create reusable methodologies and scalable assets to accelerate value delivery across the customer base
• Maintain active engagement with accounts until agreed value targets and adoption thresholds are achieved
• Mentor junior team members and codify best practices for the broader organization

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years in executive-facing presales or value engineering, with proven ability to independently own technical closures and drive AI transformation narratives
• Native or near-native German language skills (C1/C2) with ability to facilitate workshops and present to German-speaking executives
• Deep domain expertise in operational workflows and industry landscapes such as supply chain, finance, or related areas
• Software and data engineering skills: Python proficiency, modular API design, advanced SQL, and experience with ML/AI frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, XGBoost, Hugging Face)
• Demonstrated track record executing Proof-of-Value projects with complex ROI/TCO modeling through to achieved value
• Strong presentation abilities for both technical and executive audiences, including whiteboarding and formal demonstrations
• Experience architecting scalable, secure enterprise AI solutions with proper guardrails and compliance integration
• Master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent work experience preferred
