About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential enterprise software organization in their search for an Enterprise Architect Director to lead a high-performing technical team in Munich. This senior leadership role combines deep technical expertise with people management and executive engagement, supporting strategic client relationships and revenue objectives.

As a leader in our talent team at Get A Job.ai, we're seeking someone who can confidently present to C-level executives, translate strategic goals into technical roadmaps, and empower a team of Enterprise Architects to unlock complex technical challenges across sales cycles.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, mentor, and manage a team of Enterprise Architects defining architecture, data, and cloud strategies for major client accounts
  • Act as executive sponsor in pre-sales and post-sales phases, presenting strategic visions to C-level executives and engaging with customer architecture and security teams
  • Guide your team to design architectures that drive enterprise modernization, leverage capability mapping, and explore solutions using emergent technologies including Agentic AI
  • Serve as the leadership bridge between product and engineering teams and client teams to ensure delivery of premier technical services
  • Oversee assessment of IT landscape maturity for the customer installed base and coach account teams and ecosystem partners on architecture, integration, performance, and scalability
  • Direct development of reusable project assets, customer-facing position papers, and thought leadership presentations on architecture and innovation
  • Drive team impact measured by new customer acquisition rates, retention, up-selling, and overall contribution to sales and business success

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: 20+ years of relevant experience with proven track record managing Enterprise Architects or technical teams at a top consulting firm or software vendor
  • Strategic Vision: Demonstrated ability to connect technical solutions to business value and customer objectives
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven track record navigating complex negotiations and presenting to C-level executives
  • Enterprise Architecture Expertise: Deep understanding of Capability Mapping, Enterprise Modernization, and Agentic AI
  • Technical Foundation: Strong background in Data Architecture, system integrations, data operations, automation capabilities, and data-related languages (SQL, Python, etc.); ability to switch between high-level architecture strategy and hands-on technical discussions
  • Ecosystem Knowledge: Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, SaaS solutions (Salesforce, SAP, Dynamics CRM, ServiceNow), cybersecurity fundamentals, API ecosystems, and legacy on-premise enterprise architectures
  • Education: MSc degree in Computer Science or equivalent in an Information Technology-related field
  • Languages: Fluency in English required; additional language such as Spanish, French, German, or Italian is a strong advantage

Preferred qualifications:

  • Industry standard certifications such as AWS/Azure/GCP, ESB/ETL (Mulesoft, Oracle, SAP, Talend, Informatica), or TOGAF/Zachmann
  • Experience spanning at least two domains (Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, HR) and at least two industries (Consumer Goods, Banking, Pharma, Aerospace)
