About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI-powered customer experience platform based in London. Our client is at the forefront of transforming customer service through AI agents and automation, serving millions of users worldwide. They're seeking a Senior Product Designer who can bring exceptional craft, systems thinking, and pixel-perfect execution to their most strategic product areas.

This is a hands-on, craft-heavy role for a world-class individual contributor designer—not a strategy-only or people-management position. You'll be shaping cutting-edge AI experiences across multiple surfaces while working within a design-led culture where designers drive decisions from day one.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end design for high-impact product areas from concept to execution
  • Define new interaction patterns and design paradigms for AI-powered tools and automation features
  • Sketch, prototype, and test ideas at different fidelities to validate design decisions
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and product managers to define problems, move quickly, and deliver high-quality solutions
  • Maintain high standards of craft while balancing speed and execution
  • Contribute to design culture by mentoring others, pushing for excellence, refining processes, and sharing knowledge
  • Design for multiple surfaces including desktop, mobile, chat interfaces, and AI-first experiences

What We're Looking For

Must-Have Experience:

  • Proven track record of shipping complex, high-quality software products
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in interaction design, product thinking, and pixel-perfect execution
  • Experience designing for multiple surfaces—desktop, mobile, chat interfaces, AI-first and emerging experiences
  • Ability to balance speed and detail—knowing when to move fast and when to obsess over the last 1%
  • End-to-end thinking from big-picture systems design to the smallest interaction details
  • Technical understanding with ability to build prototypes (experience with tools like Framer, Figma, or code)
  • Exceptional taste and ability to recognize and push for great design
  • Strong storytelling skills—articulating design decisions with clarity and conviction
  • High degree of agency, ownership, and autonomy—you don't wait to be told what to do

This role is not suitable if you:

  • Prefer strategy, research, or system design over hands-on execution
  • Need significant direction or structured processes—this role requires thriving in ambiguity
  • Don't obsess over details and pixel-perfect execution
  • Primarily work on marketing sites rather than deep, functional software experiences

Success in this role means:

  • Your work becomes a reference point for exceptional craft and taste
  • You've shipped products with major business impact
  • You operate autonomously and proactively identify what needs to be done
  • Engineers appreciate your clear, considered, and implementable designs
  • Your peers trust your judgment on quality and execution
