Senior Consultant / Business Analyst – Post-Trade Efficiency / T+1

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential financial services client in their search for a Senior Consultant / Business Analyst to drive Post-Trade Efficiency initiatives centred on T+1 settlement acceleration. This is a 6-12 month fixed-term contract based in London with hybrid working arrangements (minimum 3 days in office). The role sits at AVP level and offers potential extension or conversion to permanent employment.

Our client requires a professional who can independently lead business analysis and project management activities to support critical T+1 readiness programmes across the trade lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end business analysis for T+1 regulatory change initiatives
• Design and enhance processes to support improved trade allocations, matching, and settlements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including front office, middle office, technology, and operations stakeholders
• Conduct quality assurance reviews on existing process flows and identify improvement opportunities
• Support the design and implementation of technology solutions for settlement flow optimisation
• Remediate trade matching breaks and manage reconciliation processes
• Gather requirements and develop solution designs for post-trade efficiency improvements

What We're Looking For

Must-Have Skills & Experience:

• In-depth knowledge of securities trade lifecycle including allocations, confirmations, settlements, and key bottlenecks affecting settlement efficiency
• Understanding of technologies, infrastructures, and platforms supporting trade lifecycle processes
• Demonstrated experience in post-trade processes, either in BAU operations or change/project capacity
• Familiarity with CSDR and T+1 regulatory requirements
• Proven ability to independently manage business analysis activities including requirements gathering and solution design
• AVP-level experience or equivalent seniority
• Valid UK work permit (mandatory)

Beneficial Skills:

• Experience working in large financial institutions on T+1 or CSDR programmes
• Hands-on experience with middle office processes within securities settlement or clearing
