Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential defense technology organization seeking a DevOps Engineer for their Kiel location (hybrid work model). In this role, you will:
- Work within an agile development team focused on naval communication systems
- Maintain and support hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test systems and actively contribute to test automation strategy implementation
- Assist with administration and expansion of virtualized test environments aligned with testing system strategy
- Demonstrate your expertise in automation, GitLab Runner, and CI/CD pipelines
- Support the implementation of comprehensive test processes and system integration
What We're Looking For
Our client requires candidates with the following qualifications:
- Completed degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or comparable vocational training
- Proven experience with Linux operating systems and strong Python programming skills
- Hands-on experience with virtualization software
- Solid background working with CI/CD pipelines, particularly GitLab Runner
- Strong motivation to actively contribute to test strategy implementation
- Good knowledge of agile methodologies such as Scrum
- Experience with version control systems, preferably GitLab or GitHub
- Independent, goal-oriented work style combined with strong teamwork abilities and open communication
- Excellent written and verbal German language skills for effective communication with German-speaking stakeholders and clients
