Compliance Analyst

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential fintech organization in their search for a Compliance Analyst based in their London office. This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding regulatory team within a rapidly growing financial services firm focused on serving the established SME market.

Reporting to the Senior Compliance Manager, you will be part of a core team responsible for delivering second line of defence oversight. This role offers substantial opportunity to develop your compliance skills and knowledge in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of the Compliance Monitoring Programme, undertaking monthly controls testing and preparing detailed reports with findings and recommended actions
• Assist with business-wide thematic reviews and collect data for regulatory reporting requirements
• Provide regulatory and compliance advice, guidance, and support to key stakeholders across the organization
• Manage and respond to day-to-day compliance enquiries
• Support senior compliance leadership in their attendance at executive committees, project working groups, and mission squads
• Collaborate with Financial Crime colleagues to ensure a strong, integrated approach to compliance and financial crime risks
• Actively participate in Conduct Risk and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) activities
• Contribute to making the compliance function more agile and data-driven

What We're Looking For

• Understanding and experience of Compliance Monitoring, Thematic Reviews, Regulatory Reporting, and the UK's regulatory landscape, ideally gained from a commercial banking background (retail banking experience also considered)
• Competent technical and systems skills to support the development and operation of second line of defence systems
• Ability to interact effectively with colleagues and stakeholders across the organization and deputize for the Senior Compliance Manager as appropriate
• Industry-recognized qualifications from institutions such as the ICA (desirable)
• Experience working within Payments Regulations (desirable)
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence culture to deliver fair customer treatment and good outcomes
