Senior Legal Counsel (m/f/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a rapidly scaling SaaS organization in the wealth technology sector that is expanding across European markets. Following successful operations in Switzerland, they are now preparing to enter the UK market and need an experienced legal professional to build and lead their commercial legal function. This is a hands-on role where you'll work directly with executive leadership to shape legal infrastructure during a high-growth phase.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal guidance on commercial and corporate matters across the business
• Draft, review, and negotiate national and international agreements, particularly SaaS contracts, software licensing deals, customer agreements, and vendor partnerships
• Support international market expansion initiatives, with immediate focus on UK market entry and Common Law jurisdictions
• Design and implement scalable legal processes, standardized contract templates, and governance frameworks that support rapid growth
• Serve as legal business partner to Sales, Product, Finance, and Management teams
• Coordinate and manage relationships with external legal counsel when specialized expertise is required
• Oversee data protection compliance, general regulatory matters, and corporate housekeeping
• Champion the adoption of Legal Tech solutions, contract automation platforms, and AI-powered legal workflows to increase efficiency

What We're Looking For

• Fully qualified lawyer with at least 5 years of professional experience, ideally gained in an international company or top-tier commercial law firm
• Strong commercial law background with extensive hands-on experience negotiating technology, software, or SaaS agreements
• Solid working knowledge of UK law and Common Law principles, with experience supporting cross-border business operations
• Demonstrated ability to build legal processes and structures from the ground up in fast-paced, high-growth environments
• Pragmatic, business-oriented approach with excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
• Genuine interest in Legal Tech, contract lifecycle management, and AI-enabled legal operations
• Business fluent in both German and English
• Experience in international scale-up environments is a plus
• Familiarity with GDPR and general compliance frameworks is beneficial
• Prior use of CLM tools or AI-supported legal workflows is valued

Pay

Compensation details will be discussed during the screening process with our recruiting team and are competitive with the Munich market for senior legal roles in high-growth technology companies.
