Werkstudent (m/w/d) Information Security

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential media technology organization in Hamburg seeking a working student (m/f/d) for Information Security. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in IT and information security while supporting your studies.

Our client operates critical digital infrastructure and requires up to 20 hours per week, with an initial one-year contract starting November 1, 2026. The role offers flexible scheduling to accommodate your academic commitments and includes options for remote work in coordination with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Support creation and maintenance of security policies and concepts
• Participate in risk assessments for new tools and AI solutions from an information security perspective, documenting findings clearly
• Analyze and document security requirements and processes; assist in deriving and tracking remediation measures
• Contribute to security awareness initiatives including training sessions, phishing simulations, emergency drills, and newsletters
• Research current security and compliance topics and prepare findings for the team
• Create presentations, evaluations, and documentation

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Business Informatics, IT/Cyber Security, Information Management, or comparable program (proof of enrollment required)
• Basic understanding and/or initial practical experience in IT, IT/Cyber Security, or IT compliance is desirable
• Familiarity with information security standards such as ISO 27001 or BSI-Grundschutz is a plus but not mandatory
• Strong MS Office proficiency
• Structured, careful, and reliable work approach
• Ability to present results clearly and understandably; comfortable voicing your opinions
• Excellent German language skills essential
