AI (Senior) Developer (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential technology consultancy seeking an AI Developer at both mid-level and senior level. Your responsibilities will include:

• Integrating generative AI technologies into existing application software
• Analyzing complex datasets for specific AI use cases and improving data quality
• Evaluating and optimizing software systems with AI components using frameworks and tools
• Developing and extending AI solutions while designing new technical approaches
• Contributing to cloud-native development projects focused on AI-driven software solutions
• Integrating AI-ready database systems including relational, vector, and graph databases
• Researching and evaluating new technologies and methods in the AI field
• Collaborating with customers and project teams, presenting results professionally

Additional responsibilities at senior level:

• Taking ownership and technical responsibility from initial concept through successful delivery
• Establishing best practices for AI technology evaluation and optimization
• Making architectural decisions and providing impulses for innovative approaches
• Designing comprehensive architectural solutions for cloud-native projects
• Strategically introducing emerging technologies and methods
• Providing technical leadership to developers and facilitating workshops and reviews

What We're Looking For

Core requirements:

• Completed degree (preferably Master's) with a focus on AI or IT
• Solid knowledge of Python and at least one additional programming language (JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, or Java)
• Practical experience integrating and using generative AI technologies and relevant frameworks
• Experience working with AI-ready database systems (relational databases, vector databases, and graph databases)
• Experience in cloud-native development and DevOps practices (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub)
• Knowledge of API design and full-stack software development
• Passion for customer-centric application development and innovative technologies
• Team player with strong communication skills and structured, independent working style
• Very good German and English language skills (minimum C1 level in both languages)

Senior-level candidates should additionally have:

• Several years of professional experience with proven project success in AI software development
• Deep expertise and extensive hands-on experience with Python and additional programming languages
• Profound expertise and ability to establish and enforce best practices for AI technologies
• Extensive experience in complex database integration projects
• Architectural responsibility experience in cloud-native environments
• Experience leading and being accountable for development projects
• Ability to actively drive innovation and lead teams
• Solution-oriented approach with capacity to support other developers
