Weir is seeking a Technical Draftsman (Dibujante Técnico) to support our engineering team based in Lima. In this full-time role, you will produce precise technical drawings and documentation that bring engineering concepts to life, working alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Role Overview

As a Technical Draftsman at Weir, you will be responsible for translating engineering specifications and design concepts into clear, accurate technical drawings. Your work will support multiple departments and projects, ensuring that manufacturing, assembly, and quality teams have the detailed visual documentation they need to deliver high-quality products efficiently.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Create, revise, and maintain technical drawings using CAD software and industry-standard practices
• Interpret engineering specifications, sketches, and verbal instructions from senior engineers and design teams
• Produce detailed manufacturing, assembly, and installation drawings with proper dimensioning and annotations
• Collaborate with engineers, production, and quality assurance to ensure drawing accuracy and completeness
• Review drawings for compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and technical requirements
• Maintain organized drawing libraries and documentation systems
• Support continuous improvement by identifying and flagging drawing discrepancies or design concerns

What We're Looking For

• Proficiency in CAD software and technical drawing tools
• Strong understanding of engineering drawing conventions, dimensions, tolerances, and standards
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team environment
• Solid foundation in engineering principles and manufacturing processes
• Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple drawing projects simultaneously
• Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred
