(Senior) CRM Automation & Lifecycle Manager (all genders)

About This Role

We are representing a confidential travel technology organization in München seeking a strategic CRM Automation & Lifecycle Manager. This role owns the complete customer relationship across all touchpoints—from initial engagement through retention and reactivation. You'll design intelligent, data-driven customer journeys that deliver measurable impact on retention, engagement, and customer lifetime value.

You won't be executing one-off campaigns. Instead, you'll build sophisticated automation systems that determine who receives which message, when, through which channel, and triggered by which behavioral signals. You'll connect strategy, data, technology, and content into a unified system that scales.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end automated customer journeys within a CDP platform, including trigger logic, multi-channel orchestration, and A/B testing frameworks
• Define contact strategies and frequency management across the customer lifecycle for email, push notifications, and WhatsApp
• Translate RFM analysis, CLV models, and churn prediction scores into concrete segmentation, prioritization, and reactivation strategies
• Own and optimize journey-level performance metrics including open rates, click rates, unsubscribes, conversion rates, and revenue attribution
• Drive lifecycle and retention KPIs such as repeat purchase behavior, churn rates, engagement scores, and Customer Lifetime Value; derive clear optimization actions from performance data
• Translate business requirements from stakeholder teams into executable CRM measures, manage cross-functional dependencies, and represent CRM priorities clearly
• Coordinate with content, analytics, and technology teams to ensure journeys, data infrastructure, messaging, and automation work as an integrated system
• Identify and implement AI-driven automation opportunities to scale and continuously improve lifecycle communication effectiveness

What We're Looking For

• At least 6 years of experience in CRM or lifecycle management, with minimum 3 years in a strategic role carrying end-to-end responsibility for customer journey performance
• Proven track record making segmentation, channel selection, contact strategy, and prioritization decisions based on data rather than intuition
• Strong hands-on expertise with email, push notifications, and WhatsApp as CRM channels, including platform mechanics, appropriate use cases, and customer experience implications
• Direct experience with a CDP or marketing automation platform such as Bloomreach, Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or Emarsys
• Solid understanding of journey analytics, retention metrics, CLV modeling, and churn analysis; experience working with BI dashboards or basic SQL querying
• Demonstrated ability translating business requirements into scalable CRM strategies while balancing competing stakeholder priorities
• Strategic and entrepreneurial thinking combined with pragmatic, hands-on execution capabilities
• Active use of AI tools in daily workflow and enthusiasm for identifying automation opportunities
• Native-level German (C2) with excellent instinct for tone and customer-centric communication; you'll help shape how the organization communicates with its audience
