About This Opportunity

Our talent team is partnering with a fast-growing renewable energy technology company based in Hamburg. This organisation is building intelligent energy management systems that connect solar, storage, heat pumps, and electric mobility into integrated solutions. They're looking for a working student to join their community management team and help shape how they engage with audiences across social media platforms and review sites.

This is a working student position (Werkstudent) requiring current enrolment at a German university with at least two semesters remaining. You'll work flexible hours that accommodate your studies, with options for on-site work in Hamburg or remote arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to comments and messages across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn in a timely, on-brand manner
• Support operational review management by screening new reviews on Trustpilot and Google, reporting issues, and helping implement appropriate responses
• Conduct weekly monitoring of relevant YouTube content, tracking mentions and discussions to enable quick response when needed
• Drive engagement on newly published content by proactively commenting on posts to spark discussions and increase organic reach
• Place strategic, value-adding comments on third-party accounts where conversations about energy transition, solar, and heat pumps are already happening
• Understand and apply platform-specific communication styles and algorithms across different social channels
• Take ownership of a signature project around Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), developing approaches to make social and community content more visible in AI-powered search results
• Test new content formulations and help integrate GEO best practices into ongoing content creation

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled at a German university with at least two semesters remaining, studying marketing, communications, media, business administration, or a related field
• Active social media user with intuitive understanding of how Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn differ in tone, format, and audience
• Strong, confident writing skills in German; English proficiency is a plus
• Natural feel for language and communication with diverse audiences
• First experience in community or social media management is helpful but not required
• Familiarity with social media management tools like Agorapulse or similar platforms is beneficial
• Basic understanding of SEO or GEO is a plus, along with enthusiasm to develop this as a project area
• Interest in the energy transition and making sustainability topics accessible to broader audiences
