Senior Consultant Digital & AI Strategy – Pharma & Healthcare (m/f/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential strategy consulting firm serving pharmaceutical and healthcare clients across Europe. Our talent team is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead digital transformation and AI strategy workstreams for life sciences organizations. This role is based in München and offers a hybrid working model.

Responsibilities

• Lead digital strategy and transformation workstreams for pharmaceutical and healthcare clients, developing practical strategies and supporting implementation to achieve measurable business outcomes
• Structure complex strategic issues, develop hypotheses, conduct analyses, and turn findings into clear recommendations for senior management
• Lead analyses and develop Go-to-Market and commercial transformation strategies, including customer segmentation, commercial models, channel strategies, sales effectiveness, pricing, and customer experience
• Support clients in developing and implementing AI strategies, including opportunity assessments, use-case prioritization, target operating models, governance, and capability building
• Contribute to large-scale digital transformation programs, translating strategic ambition into implementation across business, organization, processes, technology, and data
• Manage project workstreams and junior team members, coordinating with internal experts across strategy, technology, data, and AI
• Facilitate client workshops and management discussions, clearly communicating recommendations, trade-offs, and decisions
• Contribute to business development, proposals, and client relationships

What We're Looking For

• Excellent university degree in business administration, economics, strategy, computer science, or related field; master's degree or MBA is a plus
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in strategy consulting, digital transformation, corporate strategy, commercial strategy, AI strategy, or related field
• Proven experience turning strategic recommendations into concrete transformation initiatives
• Strong understanding of digital technologies and AI and their impact on business models, operating models, and commercial organizations
• Analytical and conceptual thinking with structured problem-solving approach
• Strong experience in Go-to-Market, commercial model transformation, Commercial Excellence, or sales and marketing transformation is highly valued
• Experience in pharma, healthcare, or life sciences preferred; experience in other regulated industries is also a plus
• Very good PowerPoint and Excel skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with confidence interacting with senior stakeholders
• Entrepreneurial, self-driven mindset and comfort working in a fast-paced consulting environment
• Fluent in German and English; additional language skills are a plus
