Product Manager Platform (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential client in the renewable energy technology sector, seeking a Product Manager Platform to shape the strategic direction of their IoT and cloud platform services. In this role, you will connect market requirements with technical excellence while driving the international scaling of their Platform-as-a-Service model for the decentralized energy market.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and advancing the product vision, roadmap, and value proposition for the platform and associated cloud services
• Creating business cases, pricing models, and pricing strategies within the PaaS context, including stakeholder alignment
• Identifying, evaluating, and acquiring strategic platform partners to expand the ecosystem
• Conducting continuous market and competitive analyses with focus on the international energy market
• Managing product controlling, monitoring platform performance, and deriving targeted measures
• Translating strategic business use cases and customer requirements into functional and technical specifications and epics
• Collaborating closely with Product Owners on feature specifications and supporting clear backlog prioritization
• Working with technical documentation teams to optimize platform and API documentation
• Managing the complete product lifecycle from start of concept to end of life
• Providing expert support for sales, marketing, and internal product training initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Successfully completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Economics, Engineering, or comparable qualification
• Several years of solid professional experience in product management, product development, or business unit development within IT, PaaS, or IoT environments
• Experience in renewable energy or smart energy is a strong plus
• Good understanding of cloud architectures, edge technologies, and API-first concepts
• Solid knowledge in pricing, monetization, and business economics of SaaS/PaaS business models
• Knowledge of business, technical, and regulatory aspects of the energy market is desirable
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills with excellent communication competence at the interface between technology and business
• Structured project execution and hands-on mentality
• Very good German and English language skills, written and spoken
• Ability to work in a hybrid model with regular office presence in Dresden
