About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential sports technology company seeking a Chief of Staff to partner directly with the founding team. This is a rare opportunity to build organizational infrastructure from the ground up at a mission-driven startup experiencing significant growth.
Our client is transforming how communities engage with grassroots sports through digital platforms. You'll work at the intersection of strategy and execution, establishing processes that scale with rapid organizational evolution.
Responsibilities
- Own strategic and operational projects end-to-end, from initial concept through full execution
- Design and continuously refine core company processes as the organization scales
- Partner closely with the founder on cross-functional strategic initiatives and priority-setting
- Drive process optimization across operational functions as needed
- Prepare decision-making frameworks, analyses, and materials for leadership
- Execute hands-on implementation across shifting focus areas rather than delegating exclusively
What We're Looking For
- 5–8 years of experience in strategy and operations roles with demonstrated impact
- Fluency in both German and English
- Strong structural and process-oriented thinking, especially in ambiguous environments
- Proven track record independently driving projects in fast-growth settings
- Proficiency with Notion, project management platforms, Google Workspace, and Slack
- Genuine interest in sports communities and what motivates grassroots participation
- Preference for building and shaping rather than maintaining established systems
- Comfort with hands-on execution—this role involves doing, not just planning
- Based in or willing to relocate to Cologne with onsite presence at least twice weekly
Bonus qualifications: Prior experience at high-growth startups or early exposure to building people and organizational processes.
