About This Role
We are representing a well-established employment law firm seeking an experienced Trial Attorney specializing in wage and hour litigation. This is a remote opportunity based in the United States for a seasoned litigator ready to handle complex class action cases and achieve exceptional outcomes for clients.
Our client focuses exclusively on employee-side representation and maintains a strong track record in employment law matters throughout California and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in court trials, hearings, arbitrations, and mediations
- Develop case strategies and present arguments before judges and juries
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Interview witnesses, gather evidence, and prepare for trial
- Negotiate settlements and plea agreements when appropriate
- Manage a docket of employment law cases, ensuring efficient case progression
- Work collaboratively with legal teams, paralegals, and investigators
- Manage and supervise junior attorneys and support staff
- Review and analyze complex employment law documents and contracts
- Monitor compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements
- Develop and implement litigation budgets
- Coordinate with expert witnesses and consultants
- Participate in client development and business generation activities
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction(s)
- 5+ years of litigation experience, preferably in class actions or complex civil litigation
- Trial experience, including depositions, motions, and courtroom advocacy
- Strong background in procedural rules governing class actions (e.g., Rule 23 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure)
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-million dollar class action settlements
- Track record of successful class certification motions
- Exceptional legal writing, research, and analytical skills
- Strong negotiation and oral advocacy abilities
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet strict deadlines
- Proficiency in litigation technology and document management tools
- Advanced knowledge of e-discovery platforms and legal research databases
- Superior project management and team leadership capabilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience handling large-scale settlements or mass tort litigation
- Background in consumer protection, securities fraud, employment law, or antitrust cases
- Strong network and reputation in the legal community for class action litigation
- Advanced degree in Labor Law, Employment Law, or related field
- Federal court litigation experience
- Publication record in legal journals or speaking engagements at industry conferences
